Safety is our top priority.
This ministry has worked effortlessly to create a space that is safe for our kids. Every volunteer and staff member that works with our children are fully vetted (including background checks)! We have a check-in system that ensures every child is secure and protected during their time with us.
We keep our space CLEAN.
Sharing is NOT always caring. The last thing any parent needs to be concerned with is having their child get sick. Our diligent staff limit the risks of germ-spreading by going above and beyond to keep all toys and spaces clean for our kids.
This space is intentional.
This is more than just a space for your children to play; it is a place for them to learn. We are creating intentional spaces for your children to learn how loved they are! This is a spirit-filled space that included various opportunities to learn about Jesus and how to be in Christ-filled community with each other.
We learn.
Every Sunday incorporates a lesson from the Bible that has been modified for each age group. They will learn about significant moments in the Scriptures in order to form a strong Biblical foundation from a young age!
We worship.
Music and dancing are always encouraged as the children sing worship songs together. We provide musical instruments and open spaces for musical expression and Christ-centered worship songs.
We craft.
Based on the story for that morning, there is always a fun craft that is age appropriate and cute. This encourages your child to tangibly understand the story in a different way each week!
We love.
This is one of the most important parts of what our compassionate staff accomplish in this time. It’s during the in-between moments where a hug is offered or a correction is made that demonstrate the love of God to our kids. We hope to ensure each child knows how loved they are AND how they can love others well too.

Angela Pennant, Children’s Ministries Director
Angela recently received her Master’s Degree in Counseling with a minor in Youth Ministry from Liberty University. She works full-time for the country of Sacramento as a Social Worker.
She serves as the Children’s Ministries Director at First Church; overseeing the Nursery, Kids, and Youth programs. She has been working hard to ensure that all her children’s ministry staff are trained and background checked, ensuring the well-being & safety of each child.
Our newly renovated nursery is a well-equipped play area which is also well-staffed by trained and background-checked individuals who love your children. While in the care of nurturing staff and after security check-in, the children are led through a Bible story time followed by crafts they can maneuver and get excited about which compliments the story. Snacks, diaper checks, and bathroom use are also needs cared for by this compassionate staff.
